I’m really surprised this giveaway didn’t have more entrants!! I don’t have a lot of experience with Dr. Whitney’s materials myself and would have thought lots of people would have wanted the opportunity to learn more about his doctrinal thoughts.

I have read Family Worship and 10 Questions to Diagnose Your Spiritual Health. 10 Questions has become a must read for everyone in my family and especially my children.

I’ve read 10 Questions to Diagnose Your Spiritual Health, How Can I Be Sure I’m A Christian, and read part of How to Simplify Your Spiritual Life. Each book brought my attention back to Christ and encouraged my soul. The practical questions and application that he uses is very helpful.

I have read and taught both Personal Disciplines and Church Disciplines. I know several young pastors who have studied under Dr. Whitney in seminary and see the quality of their spiritual life attribitued to the study of this material.

I read Dr. Whitney’s book “The Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life” in my Spiritual Formations class in Bible College. Changed what I thought and did with the spiritual disciplines. I am currently using it as a framework to teach my youth ministry about the spiritual disciplines.

I had Dr. Whitney in my first semester of seminary at SBTS. The lecture on praying through Scripture was enough to change my spiritual life, not to mention the class as a whole. Thanks, Dr. Whitney and many blessings!

I used Whitney’s books while in seminary and they both were so simple and practical yet so powerful. I will put them into use when I become a pastor, hopefully soon. Thank you, Jesus, for putting these messages into this man!
