There is not much to a summary other than the book is comprised of the 23rd Psalm in the King James Version with paintings for each individual phrase.

Review

While I am not necessarily the artistic type, I found this book to be pleasing to the senses.  For example, the phrase, “yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death” and “I will fear no evil: for thou are with me” comprises four pages and two paintings.  On the first painting, you see a valley that offers a hint at the rising sun.  The second phrase offers a similar view of the valley but it is obvious that the sun has risen and has chased away the darkness.

Each phrase is treated in this manner making this a work that is visually, mentally, and emotionally stimulating.

Recommendation

This little paperback is a great coffee table book.  I could see this being an excellent gift for someone perhaps in the hospital or sick at home.  The 23rd Psalm is such a comforting Psalm for so many.  Mix that with the visual images emblazoned on every page and you have an excellent resource to brighten your day.

As a side note, this might be a great resource to have in a funeral home for others to flip through and be comforted by the Word of God as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
