Dying to Run by Cami Checketts
Checketts, Cami. Dying To Run. Lexington: Birch River Publishin, 2012. 76 pp. $5.99. Purchase at Amazon for less or for Kindle.
Introduction
I have reviewed The Sister Pact also written by Cami in the past. Since that last review, her fictional writing career has grown quite a bit. She still reviews books and also maintains a fitness website for moms. She even states that she is the mother of 4 future WWE champions. One can only hope they aren’t going for the hardcore championship!
Summary
Dying to Run is the sequel to Dead Running (I sense a theme here). From the back of the book,
Cassidy Christensen wants to run. Captured by the traffickers who killed her mother, her only hope is Dr. Tattoo, a man she loves but nobody trusts. When she finally gets a chance to run, someone else she cares about is taken. Running might be her only chance at survival, but she won’t allow another family member to be killed in her place.
Review
While I may be a guy and I do not always get into the romance angle of some of these novels and suspense thrillers, I do enjoy a well written novel. Checketts offers a page turner that will leave you wanting more. Her story telling is realistic and one that does not allow you to put the book down until it is finished. Furthermore, the characters are well developed and the reader is able to relate to much of what they say and feel.
Recommendation
If you are looking for a good suspense series to get involved with, I would highly recommend reading about the life of Cassidy Christensen from the pen of Cami Checketts. They will certainly be an enjoyable read though more geared for a female audience.

Thanks! It means a lot that a guy enjoyed the book!
Warmest,
Cami
